This prefabricated concrete villa stands in a Mallorcan residential estate, very close to the sea. UBIKO was created in response to a market demand for functional, sustainable designer housing with top-quality finishes. It is a top-range prefabricated housing system that can be fully customized to suit clients’ aesthetic preferences and choice of finishes. Our Evolution and Terranova collections fit into the villa’s overall design to perfection.
The villa is made up of three intersecting volumes whose meeting point contains the staircase between the two floors. The ground floor contains the garage, guest room and shared bathroom on one side and, separated by courtyards, the kitchen and laundry room, which link up with the living room. The first floor features four bedrooms and two bathrooms, visually connected with the ground floor via the stairwell. Evolution Taupé by Keraben was the collection chosen to clad all the indoor floors, with a texture and finish that manage to create a totally smooth, continuous, uniform surface.
Throughout the whole villa, the inside areas link up with the outer ones. This is achieved via courtyards with lush vegetation and through direct links between the daytime living spaces and swimming pool. The terrace and poolside area are both clad in tiles from the Terranova collection by Casainfinita in its Antislip Shoeless finish to counteract the possibility of slips or falls on wet surfaces. Cream was chosen as the colour to ensure greater luminosity and a more natural look.
«Viraje is an architects’ studio founded in 2009 by three partners who were convinced that another way of designing architecture and building was possible.
From their small studio on the outskirts of Mislata, they built up a multidisciplinary team of professionals who all share a “different” vision of architecture so as to come up with solutions designed to fit in with today’s new times.
The team is made up of architects, surveyors, designers and engineers so as to cover all different walks of architecture
