The Val Convention Hotel is located in Nigrán, Pontevedra.
The aim of this project was to create a hotel that would become a focal point and meeting venue for the town.
The façade is a key feature of this project, as it lends visibility to the building, drawing the public’s eye. The modern design uses ceramic tiles as the cladding for a large grey cube. On this occasion the chosen model was our top quality Track gris by Metropol collection in 75 x 150 format, which provides optimum ceramic tile solutions for the contract market.
The interior features a contemporary urban space tailored for business tourism, despite boasting a location that is the ideal setting for holidaymakers.
The ground floor houses the reception, restaurant and coffee shop, with the rooms located on the three upper floors.
The reception area has a character all of its own that reflects the essence of this project, with a large mural portraying a lighthouse that represents the corporate image.
The coffee shop and restaurant are decorated in three tones: blue, mustard and grey, creating an intriguing yet welcoming atmosphere.
Pops of these colours are featured throughout the hotel, with rooms characterised by their bold, clearly-formed identity.
Blue is the defining colour of the hotel’s first floor, which contrasts with the use of grey on the second and mustard on the third and top floor. The effect is a homogenous décor that exudes a sense of elegance and refinement in each room.
«The hotel was designed by José Angel Vilariño Nogueira and the interior décor is the work of Lorena Comesaña Valverde. »
